Dermatology Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Alison Mahon is a Dermatology Msc Advanced Nurse Practitioner and prescriber with 15 years experience within the speciality. An honorary lecturer at Edge Hill University a British Association of Cosmetic Nurse and British Dermatology Nursing group member.

Alison is qualified in dermatological surgery removing malignant and benign skin lesions, by means of excision, shave excision, curette, cryotherapy and lesion testing with punch biopsy.

 

Alison has a particular in minor skin surgery and has been operating over 10 years within a hospital and community setting. Her NHS role includes assessment of suspected skin cancer patients and long-term review of diagnosed skin cancer patients. She also manages patients with severe inflammatory conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and acne.
