Amy Bird RGN NMP is an award winning nurse prescriber, speaker and KOL trainer with more than a decade of full time experience in medical aesthetics, and founder and lead nurse at her practice, KAST Medical Aesthetics in Cheshire. She is also recognised across the sector as an elected board of directors at BAMAN and now chair. With a young family, Amy has also had her first clinical data abstract presented at AMWC Monaco 2024 and is working towards Level 7 with MapiQ and a place at Warwick University on a PgCert in Medical Education, as well as having peer reviewed articles and contributed to industry journals. She is a heavy advocate on best practice, standards and patient safety. Amy obtained her Bachelor of Nursing in 2010 at Chester University, starting her career in acute cardiology before progressing quickly to become a nurse practitioner at UHSM, where she obtained a nurse prescribers qualification. Finding her passion in plastic and cosmetic surgery, Amy joined the renowned private cosmetic surgery group Transform at their northern hospital as a surgical ward manager. KAST was born in 2014, with Amy opening her first treatment room in 2016, followed by the opening of KAST MediSpa a year later, which will celebrate its 8th birthday at the end of October 2025. As a Save Face and CQC Accredited clinic, Amy and her team have been assessed and credentials validated for safe and ethical practice.
