As with any advanced skin treatment, you need to be fully qualified to offer these services in order to be insured. As all of our courses are accredited by the most respected awarding bodies within the industry, recognised in the UK and Internationally, and are in line with changing legislation and growing insurance company demands, we can ensure that you can offer these services safely and correctly.
Often courses have a strong practical bias. Whilst practical skills are essential, they need to be backed up by the relevant knowledge and understanding.
At KAST Aesthetics Academy, we believe in a comprehensive 360 teaching and learning approach, meaning we substantiate practical skills with the necessary comprehensive associated theory delivering. We teach not only the ‘how’, but the ‘why’ behind every treatment and foster a learning environment in which our learners feel safe to ask questions to further enhance their understanding. In adopting such an approach to teaching and learning, learners are able to apply theory to practice, modify and customise treatment programmes to reflect a range of skin types, conditions and pathologies.
This does mean that our courses may be more challenging than other courses, but this makes them all the more rewarding and you a much more knowledgeable and competent practitioner.
Our premises have been specifically designed to reflect the needs of a busy clinic and training academy, providing a professional, unique and beautiful learning environment in the historic market town of Sandbach in the heart of Cheshire.
Abiding by CQC standards, industry regulations, and practicing within the industry code of conducts, Learners and Patients can be assured that all treatments are being taught and carried out with confidence and best practice by trained professionals.
Our small class sizes ensure that you benefit from the wealth of our experience which allows plenty of opportunity to ask questions or seek further support if required. This also ensures that you will have lots of models to practice on.
Our courses comprise a combination of home and class room study and hands on clinical practical training, meaning that you receive a comprehensive tailored learning programme.
Our specialist tutors still work in clinical practice enabling them to maintain their expertise and thus have a wealth of industrial knowledge that they can share with our students.
We train using the latest equipment and products required to adhere to industry standards. We provide course manuals to support you in your learning and on-going support and mentorship is available.

Our courses will enhance employment and career progression opportunities for those looking to work independently or as a clinical aesthetician alongside aesthetic doctors and dermatologists. For business owners they will facilitate new business development opportunities for your clinic or salon as a specialist centre for aesthetic skin treatments.
Our courses will provide:

- UK qualifications in aesthetic skin care accredited regulated awarding bodies
Sessions will start a 10.00am and run until 4.30pm
- In addition to CPD accreditation, we also offer qualifications accredited by VTCTC
- VTCT is a government approved Awarding Body offering National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs), Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs) and other vocationally related qualifications (VRQs).
- VTCT has been in existence for over forty years and has been at the forefront of developing the vocational system of qualifications in the United Kingdom.
- After completing our courses, you will receive qualifications that are fully Insurable
- We also provide follow up support, so if you do have any questions or are unsure of anything, we are there to help.
Following a report published by Health Education England (HEE) in January 2016, the government commissioned the formation of the Joint Council of Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) to develop new qualification standards for all practitioners. In addition, insurance companies now require practitioners to have undergone sufficient training.
As a result, the Beauty Therapy Sector has undergone considerable changes in recent years, leading to the development of specialist courses and the introduction of a separate aesthetic sector within the industry in the form of the Medi-Spa and Aesthetic Clinic. Thus, it is now viable for Beauty therapists to work alongside medical aesthetic practitioners. This has naturally led to a demand for in depth education, training development for both for those already working in the sector or for individuals with aspirations to enter the sector.
Our versatile and reputable courses are designed for those individuals wanting to undertake training at the highest level enabling them to transition into or progress further in their careers in the aesthetic sector.

- We only accept students aged 18 and over
- Good command of the English language
- Medical professionals only (such as doctor or nurse) for injectable courses
To maximise your learning experience, we keep class sizes small.
Usually 3 and never more than 6- delegate numbers very much depend upon the course.
Course Terms and Conditions
All courses are taught by our Lead Nurse Amy Bird and owner of KAST Medical Aesthetics LTD.
We have partnerships with Teoxane for all filler courses and Croma for Polynucleotides.
For all injectable courses:
Only healthcare professionals able to attend with valid professional registrations provided for us to check
Nurses NMC number
Drs GDC number
Dentists GDC number
Dental therapists GDC number
Prescribing pharmacists number
Paramedics (TBC with Amy)
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept other groups such as dental nurses, physios, radiographer etc.
Prior training in a basic dermal filler course is essential as well as valid insurance.
Your course will have no more than 6 students.
