What We Treat at KAST
If you’re worried about something on your skin or simply want it gone, we’re here to help.
We assess and treat:
- Moles – including suspicious, changing, or cosmetically concerning moles
- Skin tags
- Seborrhoeic keratoses
- Warts & verrucas
- Cherry angiomas
- Milia (milk spots)
- Cysts and lipomas
- Other benign skin lesion

If it’s raised, pigmented, itchy, flaking, or just bothering you, we can take a look. Some lesions may need removal for medical reasons. Others can be removed for cosmetic purposes using CryoPen®, cautery, or excision depending on the type, size, and location.
If a lesion looks suspicious, we can take a biopsy and send it to an external laboratory for histological analysis, ensuring you receive a clear diagnosis and appropriate care.

FAQs - Lesion Removal at KAST Medical Aesthetics
How do I know if a mole is dangerous?
Use the ABCDE rule to spot suspicious moles:
Asymmetry
Border irregularity
Colour variation
Diameter (larger than 6mm)
Evolution (changes over time)
If you’re concerned about any mole or lesion, book a professional assessment with our Dermatology Nurse Consultant Alison.
Is lesion removal painful?
CryoPen® treatments may cause a brief, sharp cold sensation but are typically very well tolerated. Excision procedures are carried out under local anaesthetic, so you shouldn’t feel pain during the removal.
Will I be left with a scar after treatment?
CryoPen® is minimally invasive and typically leaves minimal or no visible scarring. For surgical or shave excisions, a small scar may be present but will often fade with time. Alison will always explain expected outcomes in your consultation.
Can multiple lesions be removed in one session?
Yes. Depending on the type, size, and location of the lesions, Alison can often treat several in a single appointment. A tailored plan will be created during your consultation.
Are skin lesion removals suitable for children or teenagers?
In some cases, yes – especially for benign lesions like skin tags or warts. However, every younger patient will require a comprehensive consultation to assess medical appropriateness and comfort levels.
Will the lesion be sent for testing (histology)?
If there’s any concern about the diagnosis or appearance of a lesion, it will be surgically excised and sent to a laboratory for histopathology. A separate fee applies, but this ensures your safety and peace of mind.
